Campfire and Outdoor Firepits

Shopping for firepits can take a long time if you’re uncertain about what you want. As with any area of home improvement, the sky is the limit in terms of what you can buy or install to make your patio as flashy as possible. Who wouldn’t want an outdoor fireplace integrated into elaborate brickwork to impress their guests at the next 4th of July barbeque? Realistically speaking, most homeowners are on a tight budget for what they can do to spruce up that concrete slab called a deck. A solid fire pit, be it wood or propane-powered, can go a long way in improving the overall feel of an outdoor space. After all, your backyard is an extension of the rest of your home. The traditionalist outdoorsman is always going to prefer a campfire ring or standard fire pit. Both are designed to do one thing and one thing only – hold a fire. A ring is better suited for camping in the woods or a night on the beach than it is for your yard, simply because there is no base and you don’t want to have a patch of scorched earth where there was once healthy grass. Pits are better for backyard use because they can be easily rolled from one place to another and they aren’t an imposing presence. Any mid-sized to large seating area will be well lit and heated by a 36” bowl. Plus, there’s an unmatched ambience that comes with a good old-fashioned wood burning.
